After your first night in Kathmandu, you will be doing a half day guided sightseeing tour in Kathmandu at places of interest. Sometime, depending upon your flight arrival if it's late in the night we will do this tour in the afternoon instead of morning to give you a nice rest before you venture out of the Hotel in our interesting tour. The sightseeing places could be Pashupatinath, famous Hindu Temple combined with Bouddhanath, a Buddhist Shine or Kathmandu Durbar Square, famous for its old architecture and place where you can visit living goddess with Swyambhunath, commonly known as Monkey Temple. 

Morning depart from the hotel for scenic overland drive heading toward Nepal Mid West leading past many farm villages and towns, and then on leaving main Kathmandu and Pokhara highway entering towards Lamjung district at Beshisahar. In early days, trek used to start right from here but with the construction of road, we will push bit further on dirt road following Marshyangdi river upstream via villages of Syange, Jagat, Chamje to finally reach our destination at Dharapani. Dharapani a nice village situated on a junction of Annapurna circuit and Manaslu trekking trail. It’s a long day drive but it will help us to start the trek from following morning. 

Starting our first day walk leaving Dharapani, following a wide winding trail into rhododendron, and pine forest as walk leads to Bagachap and Danque villages. From here an hour climb to Timang village entering within more Buddhist culture and villages with views of Mt. Manaslu. Its few hours trek to Koto and then reaching at Chame town for overnight stop. Chame, a large as well headquarter and administrative town of Manang district. We will try to avoid the motor road where possible, the reason we are starting our trek right from Dharapani is to help us acclimatize well and get used to with trekking on such terrain before reaching Manang. 

With pleasant stop at Chame town as air gets much cooler our walk gets close to high mountains, morning leads into forest of pines and rhododendron following Marshyangdi River upstream with few short up and down to Bratang village.

From Bratang village, walk leads to a climb up into cooler woodland to reach on a ride top within a small area of Dhukure Pokhari with some teahouse and lodge.Overlooking views of Chulu’s and Pisang peaks, a possible lunch break here, and then afternoon walk downhill to Pisang village for overnight stop.

Morning from Pisang village catching views of Pisang and Chulu peaks with Annapurna II towards south direction, from here altitude gains slowly as walk leads into a small forested areas with short climb overlooking views of Annapurna II and III, Gangapurna Chulu’s and Pisang peak.

From the ridge top downhill to a valley at Hongde village with a small airstrip, from here onward tree lines disappear for barren, arid landscapes with cold, dry arctic climate. Before Manang, visit old Braga monastery where you can witness old Buddhist relics, ancient wall painting and frescos with grand views of Annapurna Himalaya, from here an hour walk to reach Manang village. Around Manang houses are built in traditional Tibetan style, Manang people are known for their rich culture and traditions.

A necessary and important rest day for acclimatization before heading higher elevation to Thorang - la pass, at Manang. Enough time for short walks and to explore its interesting village and around beautiful valley. Manang, a large village of the area located on windswept valley by the bank of Marsyangdi River beneath towering Annapurna II-III and Gangapurna mountain range, a nice walk uphill for views of Gangapurna Glacier and Manangs' turquoise colored icy Lake.

After a good rest at Manang, morning heading past Ghunsang village with slow climb to Yak Kharka. An interesting and scenic high altitude trek with grand view of snowcapped mountains and then crossing a small stream river to reach Yak Kharka, a small settlement with views of Gangapurna, Annapurna III and Chulu Peaks.

As walk continues reaching higher ground and reaching at the base of Thorong-la. After crossing a bridge and then a climb above Jarjung stream to Thorong Phedi. After a short rest with possible lunch stop an hour steep climb to our high overnight stop at Thorong High Camp.

Our tough and a big day of the adventure, after early breakfast walk a steep climb to reach on top Thorang-la at (5,416m), marked with thousands of Buddhist color prayer flags where a sign board is placed with name and altitude of Thorong-La Pass.

From the top offers spectacular views of landscapes and high snowcapped peaks with Dhaulagiri Mountains, and then a long descend takes you at Muktinath above (3,800 m.). Holy Muktinath areas for overnight stop, regarded as a sacred spot for both Hindus and Buddhists, the name Muktinath means ‘place for Nirvana or Liberation’.

After a long day trek, take the morning easily with late breakfast. Those who are interested, can visit famous Hindu-Buddhist Muktinath Temple. Today we will drive to Tatopani (Hot spring) as there is motor road built and there is no point walking on the dusty road. We pass through Mustang region headquarter at Jomsom where there is an airport for the area, we continue through beautiful Marpha Village with apple farms to reach Tatopani for late lunch. After lunch we can dip in Hot Spring to kill our tiredness.

After a relaxing day, we start our climb towards famous Gurung Village of Ghorepani. The trek leads through the local Village, paddy fields with views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri to reach Ghorepani with strenuous uphill walk. This trek joins the Annapurna Circuit route with Annapurna Sanctuary. 

An early wake up for an excursion to famous view Point at Poon Hill. We try to reach the hill top before the sun rises so that we can enjoy a perfect view of whole Annapurna range together with Dhaulagiri in a close distance. Return back to our lodge to have breakfast and start our final descend towards the roadhead at Ulleri to catch the vehicle to drive on a bumpy rough road to Pokhara to conclude our trek.

According to the package you have taken, its time to return back to Kathmandu with good memories of short but beautiful trekking adventure. Upon arrival at Kathmandu, afternoon will be free for optional sightseeing tour or visiting Thamel for last moment souvenir shopping and enjoy a nice celebratory meal at Kathmandu before returning back home. 

Today as per your international flight time, keep your confirmed air ticket, and your passport handy. Our staff will take you to the airport for your final departure from this amazing country, Nepal.
