Morning after breakfast, depart for cultural and historical tour around Nepal's best World Heritage Sites. Tour of old Durbar Square (Palace Courtyard) of Kathmandu and famous ancient Swyambhunath Stupa.

Afternoon, transfer to Kathmandu domestic airport. After checking in through security and then board in an aircraft of respective airlines. Enjoy the sweeping panorama of Himalayan chain of peaks from Langtang, Ganesh and Manaslu Himal. As the flight gets closer to Pokhara grand views of Annapurna Himalayan snow-capped peaks.After a short 30 minutes air-borne, then landing at Pokhara airport and short drive to the hotel. Located by the beautiful Phewa Lake, enjoy the comfort of a nice hotel rooms. Evening at leisure to browse around the Lakeside lined with shops and restaurants.

An early breakfast to catch a short flight to Jomsom with a small aircraft, either Dornier, Twin Otter or similar plane. The flight takes off with grand vista of Pokhara city and the valley. The plane heads north- west facing views of Manaslu, Annapurna range of peaks. Includes closer views of Dhaulagiri Himal with views of beautiful rolling green hills and valley. Slowly the flight makes a soft smooth landing at Jomsom small airstrip, the head for the exit. Where our guide and staff receives you for the first day walk to Kagbeni. At Jomsom the headquarters town of Mustang district, have time to organize and get refreshed before the trek. Possible lunch stop at Jomsom nice restaurants, then start the trek heading beyond Jomsom town. The route follows the great wide Kaligandaki River valley reaching Eklay Bhatti. A small place at the junction of famous Muktinath Temple and towards Kagbeni village. From this small nice settlement, the trail follows west above the Kaligandaki River valley to Kagbeni for overnight stop. Kagbeni an exciting village of Tibetan heritage and cultures, as well the entry point of restricted area to Upper Mustang. 

From Kagbeni after a pleasant overnight stop, start the morning adventure taking a few hour drive to enter Upper Mustang. The drive is to cover a good ground rather than walking on motorable road. An interesting drive through picturesque scenery of red mud walled canyons, and towering wind-blown cliffs. Slowly the drive ends reaching Tangbe a nice village with an old ruined castle steeped with religious monuments of chortens. From Tangbe first day walk to Tetang crossing the stream of Nari Khola to Chusang Village. Excellent views of Nilgiri’s snow-capped peaks, the trail follows north to cross a steel bridge in between narrow canyons. The trek follows steep up for an hour reaching Chele Village for overnight in the comfort of a nice simple lodge.

After a first overnight in Upper Mustang at Chele, start the morning with climb with views of Gyagar village. The walk leads to cross a suspension bridge then reaching across a barley field outlined by willow and poplars trees. The trail follows towards entrance gate to a small settlement at Gyala, from here climb to a ridge. Then head downhill to Samar a nice village amidst a grove of poplar and willow trees. Enjoy the overnight in a simple and nice homely lodge with grand views of surrounding dramatic landscapes.

Enjoying an exciting overnight in Samar village amidst beautiful field of crops and lovely scenery. Morning the walk starts with downhill within massive canyons, then a long climb to the top of Yamda-La Pass. Then descent into a dramatic gorge, with spectacular views through eroded windblown red cliffs. Then finally the walk reaches to a stream with time for short tour of the holy Rangchung cave. Takes about less than an hour, where saint Padmasamba of the 8th Centaury mediated on his way to Tibet. After the bridge climb leads towards few mud and stone huts where Syangboche settlement is located.  Our overnight stop in the comfort of a simple but nice clean lodge accommodation within an isolated wilderness.

Enjoying absolute tranquil surrounding at Syangboche, morning a short walk uphill on top Syangboche-La Pass. Marked by a huge colored stupa/chörten, then head downhill through eroded cliff small path to reach Tama Gaon. The walk proceeds for short hour reaching Chongar, a small settlement with a single tea house and small shop. The walk follows to another isolated place at Zhalte for possible lunch stop. Afternoon trek past chortens amidst windswept dry country with climb to Ngi-La Pass, forms the boundary of proper Upper Mustang. Slowly the trail takes you uphill to a small ridge of Ghami-La at 3,765 m to reach Ghami. One of the major village of Upper Mustang after Lo Manthang and Charang. At Ghami accommodation in a nice lodge or guest house, have time to explore around amazing cliffs with caves.

After an enjoyable moments and overnight in a lovely Ghami Village, morning walk follows down to the river. Then starting the climb to traverse the other side, the trail follows across windswept mountain pass over Deurali-La. Overlooking views of Ghami, as the path contours reaching the other side of the valley facing Dhakmar with towering cliffs. A gentle descent leads to the valley coming across spread out stone and mud houses. As the walk leads to a steep climb up to Marung-La, the highest point of the adventure. From the top grand vista of picturesque Mustang beautiful landscapes terrains includes views of Lo Gekhar village and the monastery. Slowly the trail follows down towards our overnight stop at Lo Gekhar, and transfer to a nice lodge. Afternoon explore the village and its surrounding and visit the monastery surrounded by Chortens.

Today an exciting day the journey leads to the former walled kingdom of Lo Manthang. The ultimate destination, morning from the lodge at Lo Gekhar head across several high scenic ridges. The trail leads first towards a bridge above an icy stream, the climb starts to Chogo-La Pass. From the top descend towards a wide arid plain, then crossing a stream with short climb to enter Lo Manthang. On entering the former walled kingdom, this impressive of town of Lo-Manthang, takes you back to medieval era. Greeted by the cheerful locals and then transfer into a nice lodge. Afternoon having time to browse the interesting town and observe the local Lobas with their daily activities. 

At Lo-Manthang enjoy free day at leisure, explore the old town reminds you of the medieval time period. The houses and buildings are amazing attached of similar Tibetan traditional architectures. Enjoy visiting historical and cultural centers and the four main monasteries. The Namgyal Gompa, Champa Lhakhang (God House) and the Red Thubchen Gompa. Includes Chyodi Gompa and great Entrance Hall, where great annual Tije a religious colorful festival takes place. 

Time permitting visit the late Raja / King of Mustang palace, a permission is required. The last king or Raja of Mustang was Jigme Dorje Palbar Bista, expired in 2018. At the age of 86 years old, the royal links back to Ame Pal the first king. Who established the Buddhist kingdom of Mustang in 1380 after separating from province of South West Tibet? After an interesting visit, rest of the afternoon at leisure to observe the local activities and cultures.

After a remarkable experience at Lo Manthang the walled kingdom, return journey with a hitch hike. Morning taking a short drive to Tsarang one of the major village of Upper Mustang. An interesting monastery to visit at Tsarang Thubten Shedrup Dhargyeling Monastery. Adorns amazing murals and tour of the Samdrup Gedphel Palace at present it is a small museum. From here continue the trek heading uphill between the two ridge tops to reach Dhakmar via Syoda Khola. From here the trail leads to Ghami, taking the lower trail, bypassing the Deurali La pass. The walk follows across the longest Mani walls of Mustang areas and then end the day reaching Ghami for overnight halt.

From Ghami back on the road taking an alternative route away from the Jeep track. As well as the Ghami-La pass does not includes on this walking path to reach Syangboche via Ghiling Village. After an exciting day walk of more than 5 hours reach Syangboche for overnight stop.

Enjoy the last trek of the journey around Upper Mustang, from Syangboche morning taking a Jeep ride. To avoid the dusty motor track for few hours to reach Samar Village, an interesting ride heading ups and downs. On reaching Samar the walk begins by an alternative route via Gyagar and down to Chele. Then cross over the river on a bridge to reach Chusang for last overnight around Upper Mustang.

To make the itinerary much shorter and to avoid the motorable dirt tracks, taking the comfort of 4WD Jeep. The drive heads through the windswept valley outlined by huge Canyon walls and staggering mud cliffs. Then reaching at the end of Upper Mustang territory at Kagbeni Village. The drive continues further towards Kaligandaki River valley, then reach Jomsom the administrative headquarters of Mustang region. At Jomsom for good lunch and overnight in the comfort of a nice lodge, afternoon browse around the town full of local officials as well as the usual traders and travelers.

Morning after early breakfast, short walk to Jomsom airport bidding farewell to guide and porters. As the plane reach Jomsom from Pokhara, then get into the small aircraft for sweeping scenic short flight to Pokhara. At Pokhara having time to get refreshed, then get on board the moderate sized plane. Enjoy the short flight with panoramic views of the Himalayan range of peaks.

On reaching Kathmandu airport transfer back to respective hotels, afternoon enjoy relaxing moments or individual activities.

After returning from Jomsom, you will have a free or contingency day in Kathmandu, which is advisable as Jomsom flights are weather dependent and by any chance if the flight got cancelled or delayed, its worth to keep a free day so that you will not miss your international flight back home. 

You can do some extra sightseeing tour in Kathmandu or just relax and keep sometime free for shopping in Thamel before returning back home.

Last day in Kathmandu and Nepal, after an overwhelming adventure and experience. Around the high hills and valleys of Far West Nepal around Mustang Regions. As time for the international flight, transfer to the airport. Then bid farewell to Nepal, guide and staff; as you enter the air terminal for homeward bound or to next port of call.
